This policy explains what World & India Quiz ("the App"), published as com.atsoftech.indiastatecapital and built by AT Soft Tech ("we", "us"), collects and how it is used. By using the App you agree to this policy. (Previously listed on Google Play as "States and UTs of India".)

Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the atlas, quizzes, optional signed-in features, app stability, and — where ads are shown — advertising delivery.

Quiz and progress data — scores, streaks, and reading progress. Guests may store progress on-device; signed-in users sync progress to our cloud backend.
Account data (optional) — if you choose Google Sign-In, we receive your Google profile name, email address, and avatar URL through our authentication provider.
Device and diagnostics — app version, device model, OS version, crash reports, and performance traces used to keep the App stable.
Product analytics — anonymised events such as app open, quiz start/complete, and territory opens so we can improve learning flows (not sell profiles).
Advertising identifiers — when ads are enabled, Google AdMob may use advertising ID and interaction data under Google’s policies and applicable consent rules.
Push notification tokens — if you allow notifications, a device token is registered so we can deliver quiz alerts and atlas updates.

How we use information

To provide reference content, global affairs articles, and quizzes
To save quiz results, standings, certifications, and atlas pins
To deliver optional push notifications you can disable in system settings
To diagnose crashes, measure performance, and understand which learning flows work
To show ads that help keep the App free (where enabled by remote configuration)
To respond to support tickets and improve accuracy

Third-party services

The App uses trusted providers that process data under their own policies:

Google Sign-In — optional account authentication
Firebase (Google) — Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, and Cloud Messaging support
Google AdMob — advertising when ads are enabled for your session
Supabase — secure cloud database for signed-in accounts, quiz attempts, and notifications
OneSignal — push notification delivery
Google Play — app distribution and in-app update checks

Advertising

Ads may appear on secondary surfaces (for example territory overviews, Atlas browse, app resume, or after leaving a quiz result). We do not place ads on the Home greeting, during live quiz questions, or over certificate celebrations. Where required (for example EEA/UK), the App shows a Google User Messaging Platform consent form before personalized ads. You can reopen privacy choices from Profile → Privacy choices when that control is available, and you can also limit ad personalisation in your device advertising settings.

Data sharing and sale

We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared with service providers only as needed to operate the features above, including advertising partners when ads are shown.

Data retention and deletion

On-device data remains until you clear app storage or uninstall. Signed-in users can request deletion from Profile → Delete account. The account is deactivated immediately; personal cloud data is retained for a grace period (default 30 days). Signing in again during that period cancels the request and restores the account. After the grace period the account is permanently purged on our servers. Guest browsing remains available after you request deletion. You may also email support@atsofttech.in from the address linked to your Google account, or use our account deletion request form.

Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will appear in the App and on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
